Going home...

Here are some people at Careba on Thursday for a going away shindig

Natasha and some guy she works with; my mom and I

Mom insisted on bringing some tuna smothered in tomato sauce with her. It was really gross looking. She didnt have a fork or spoon so she ate it with coffee stirrers. My mom and I in the sweet Sports Bar at the Newark airport where I had my first alcoholic drink in the states.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber

So, here I am in Rothenburg. Not many shops were open yet. But! They have a sweet crime and punishment museum. Here are the "shame masks" usually worn by gossipy women or piggish men.

An awesome chastity belt which makes you pooh hearts! And a little bit of home in this starbucks-esque statue

Apparently making silly faces doesnt dissuade mom from taking pictures of me anymore :( Mom said that the cannon looked like a big willy when I sat on it like this (i wish the picture came out better)

This horse guy was just chilling, h-o-t! (jkz, really, jkz)

Lots of tourists, we were int he thick of it all, watching the clock. I found it pretty unclimactic, although one of the figures in the clock "drank" his beer.

Switzerland (Gimmelwald)

Well, here we are in Interlaken and this is some sweet waterfall on the way to Gimmelwald (i think this is in Lauterbrunnen):

We finally reached our hostel! And the view from the hostel was amazing!

We walked to a nearby town (Mürren) and then took a long hike around part of the mountain

A view and the hostel we stayed at recommended by Rick Steves:

More pretty views on the hike

And here we are at the end of the trail

So we walked to the ice cave!! (well, it was actually a glacier)

And the view of Mürren from the gondola at Gimmelwald

Sardinia

So of course, the first thing we did in Sardinia was go to the beach! On the left, is in the evening and it was really crowded, whereas, on the right, it is not crowded in the morning:

We walked around Lu Bagnu after dinner and found a sweet carnival that was closed. And the beach again:

This is Lu Bagnu on our walk to the next town over, Castelsardo. The road had alot of curves, no shoulder and fast cars. It was pretty scary!

This was part of the marina at Castelsardo and we finally made it to town after 4 km!

The castle that we did not visit. A sweet sailboat at the marina:

Sunset at dinner. Natasha with the rest of her pizza. The box has the big bad wolf and the three little pigs on the cover. You can also see we got gelati:

Bruges

So this is the view out our window in the hostel, and Natasha and Vinti walking down the main shopping street:

Here is one of the main squares with some huge building and Natasha enjoying her first waffle:

We encountered our first canal so we took lots of pictures; some tower that night:

A catholic church (all catholic churches there had roosters on the top), and a pretty part of the canal:

The famous step fronts on the buildings and a band that started playing and walking around the streets of a beach side town we went to (Blankenburg, I think):

Some more of the beach town:
