Bruges

So this is the view out our window in the hostel, and Natasha and Vinti walking down the main shopping street:

Here is one of the main squares with some huge building and Natasha enjoying her first waffle:

We encountered our first canal so we took lots of pictures; some tower that night:

A catholic church (all catholic churches there had roosters on the top), and a pretty part of the canal:

The famous step fronts on the buildings and a band that started playing and walking around the streets of a beach side town we went to (Blankenburg, I think):

Some more of the beach town:

München

So this is Dachau; it was very interesting and yet scary. Thats the entrance on the left and on the right is the escape prevention (only one person ever escaped in 12 or 13 years):

The main building in Dachau and the memorial. A watch tower from one of the reconstructed barracks. Only two barracks were rebuilt due to money issues but there were 34 (30 for the prisoners):

The entrance to Dachau and the Englischer Gardens. The Englischer Gardens were where all the nudies are. You cant see any but that is so they can lull you into the middle and attack you with their nakedness:

A sweet drum circle; they never stopped. Natash and I before our nap:

Some building at Marienplatz, the city center. Us at the first bar on the bar crawl.

The Hofbräuhaus! We didnt stop but it was interesting to see

A rocking band at an Irish pub. They played oldies but goodies! And some friends we made on the crawl:

Heidelberg and the Rhein

So this is Heidelberg, and me in front of part of the blown up castle (damn frenchies are tricky)

Some more of the castle, up close and far away

Here is the castle at night, lit up in red like it is on fire (there was a fire there at one point) and the next is front the students prison, the original royal throne!

Here are some cute houses in Bacharach, on the Rhein. And the ruins of the Rheinsfels in St. Goar

Some more ruins. And there was a parade going on, I dont know what about but they were all in military clothes, it was very intimidating (not really)! check out that guys mustache on the left!!!

this is Boppart, we didnt get off but some people told us it was the most impressive town on the Rhein. And that is some castle that is the most preserved castle on teh Rhein (i also didnt see this up close).

Some more of Köln, and gay parade!!!

I was trying to show how gross the Rhein is, but its looks worse in person and the next pic is the Botanical Garden park

Aachen and Köln

So on friday we went to Aachen to go to the dance club: Here Gabson, Huyn-chul and Natasha are singing in the train station. And that is Natasha and her friend Bindi (who is visiting for the week):

On Saturday there were fireworks in Jülich and I went to Aachen during the day (that is Kyle with his booty at the Lindt Factory!) oh, and Kyle totally reminds me of Harold from the Red Green show. you know, the nephew of Red.:

Here is a sweet picture of a fountain, and the Cathedral in Aachen:

Hanging out at an Eis-cafe: (left picture- Kyle, John and Ivo; Right- Binh, my PhD student)

Then on Sunday, I went to Köln. The left picture is from the top of a skyscraper and the right is at the chocolate museum!! There were no oompa-loompas but this lady was pretty short!

More chocolate and the cathedral in Köln
